Twisted Doughnuts

How To Prepare Twisted Doughnuts. 


Yeah! I know some of you will say @vivianscuisine has come again oooo! Which one is twisted doughnuts again?  Your about to find out shortly. 


This is a Korean recipe  that I graciously
learnt from the famous Korean food blogger @maangchi,  she's one amazing cook I must tell you all.

Bear in mind that there is nothing magical about this recipe because it's same doughnut batter that you will use,  the only demanding task is in the twisting of the batter to achieve this amazing look.

Follow me closely as I take you on the coozzy ride of my newest recipe.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

1. 3 cups of all purpose flour
2. 2 tabtablespoon full of butter
3. 2 tablespoon full of sugar
4. 1 large egg
5. I sachet of dried yeast (500ml)
6. 1 cup of milk 
7. Half table spoon full of salt.

PREPARATORY PROCESS :

Step 1 :
Desolve the butter and pour it into a deep bowl

Step 2 :
Add the one cup of milk into the butter, add salt, egg and sugar,  whisk all thoroughly and allow tp rest for 5 minutes. 

Step 3 :
Add the sieved all purpose flour into the liquid mixture,  use hand and mix thoroughly,  cover with foil and set it aside in a warm corner for 1 hour 45 minutes. 

Step 4 :
Bring it out after 1:45 minutes,  deflates it, mix it again and cover for another 45 minutes in a warm atmosphere. 

Step 5 :
Bring it out after 45mintes and divide it into 16 fine balls. 


Step 6 :
Take each of the ball,  using your right hand,  roll it on a floured surface continuously,  using both hands now roll it forward with your right hand and backward with your left hand simultaneously,  raise it up after stretching it out to about 3centimeter, holding tail of each end and twist it, pinning the tip edge with a fork and set same aside on a floured trail.

Step 7 :
Repeat same for the 16 balls and set it aside for another 20minutes to rise,  turning each side after 10 minutes.

Step 8 :
Set pan on fire, add vegetables oil and start frying on low heat after the oil is heated up.
Note :
Fry in small quantities to avoid crowding the the oil and giving space for the twisted doughnuts to rise. 

Step 9.
Turn constantly till its golden brown and set on kitchen towel to drain out oil.

Your twisted doughnuts is ready to be eaten with any drink of your choice.

  1. When do you as the yeast, with the flour or in the liquid mixture?

  2. I mix it with the liquid and allow it to rest for 5minutes before adding the flour mixture.
