ASUN (PEPPERED GOATMEAT)

How To Prepare Asun

First time I heard the word "ASUN", I was like "Really,  what's Asun again".
I dare to tell you that Nigeria is not only rich with culture but we are truly blessed with meal varieties and we just have a away of conning a great dish out of the regular every day meal.

Asun is simply a yoruba name for "Barbecued Goatmeat with Pepper Sauce" lol, yes I know some of my Yoruba brothers/sisters already knows this by now while some of you are just getting to discover it but all the same,  there is no guilty feeling hence we all had our first moments.

Here is the simple recipe you will be needing to prprepare this mouth watery dish.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :
1.  Fresh goatmeat
2. Cameron pepper
3. Onions.
4. Seasoning cube
5. Tyme
6. Habanero pepper
7. Vegetable oil
8. Salt to taste.
9. Goatmeat seasoning (optional )
10. Green pepper (optional )

PREPARATORY PROCESS :
Step 1 :
Wash the goatmeat and set it on fire,  don't add water yet.

Step 2 :
Season the meat with,  Cameron pepper,  tyme,  seasoning cube,  onions and goatmeat spice (optional )

Note :
Alow the goatmeat to generate water extract while cooking and add only add little water after the water genetated from the meat is slightly dried up.
This will aid your meat in sucking up the seasoning and thereby making it more tasty.

Step 3 :
Cover the pot and alow to cook till its tender. Remove same into a tray and allow to cool off for a short while.

Step 4 :
Place the already cooked meat into the microwave/oven and grill for about 10-15minutes,  depending on how grilled you like your meat generally.

Step 5 :
Slice the already grilled goatmeat into tiny sizes and set same apart.

Step 6 :
Set an empty pan on fire,  add one cooking spoon full of vegetable oil and immediately add the already grilled goatmeat,  add the blended Habanero pepper, seasoning cube,  chopped onions (optional) and stir continuously until the pepper is thoroughly dissolved into the meat.

Step 7 :
Cover with foil while on fire and add a little bit of the goat meat broot and allow to simmer for 2 minutes and take it down.

Your asun can be esten like this or garnished with green pepper and onions.

Go grab your plate cause your Asun is ready.
