GIZZDODO

PREPARATION OF GIZZDODO.





I know many of us, myself inclusive before now have been wondering what exactly is gizzdodo and how it is prepared.

Well, worry no more, cause your about to acquire that additional  knowledge.

Gizzdodo is simply gizzard in combination with
ripe plantain.

I don't know who sat down and coined that word "gizzdodo" but whoever did,  earned my love cause that nomenclature is poetic in nature.

This takes less than an hour to prepare.  Maximum 40 minutes.


INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

Ripe Plantain
Turkey Gizzard

Vegetable Oil
Fresh tomatoes

Fresh pepper
Yellow pepper
Ginger
Green pepper
Seasoning
Pinch of Salt.


PREPARATORY PROCESS :
Step 1 :
Wash the plantain to remove sand,  peel off the back and slice it in cubes like the image below.
Step 2 :
Using deep fryer or enough quantity of vegetable oil, fry the plantain to golden colour and put same in a sieve to drip out the oil.
Step 3 :
Wash the gizzard,  season with onions, Cameron pepper and maggi cube and cook till its soft.  Put it down,  slice it into tiny piece and fry with vegetable oil.
Further slice the fresh tomatoes, onions, spring onions, garlic, and blend the fresh pepper and set them aside.

Step 4 :
Using 2 cooking spoon full of vegetable oil,  add the fresh tomatoes, fresh blended pepper, and sliced onions into the pot and stir till the water in the tomatoes dries up, add the fried plantain,  gizzard, green pepper, garlic,  seasoning and stir till all are properly mixed.

Step 5 :
Taste for salt and immediately put it down.
Your GIZZDODO is ready to be eaten with rice or on its on
