Cat Fish Pepper Soup.

Discover How point and kill is prepared yourself. 


Catfish popularly referred to as point and kill has found its way into the hearts of most people especially Nigerians who spend so much time hanging out in gardens and stop overs after a days work just to grasp a bite of the point and kill which is usually prepared at the instance of the pointing out the one you want. 

There's no doubt it's highly delicious and portentous in nature,  it's equally very easy to prepare.  


Follow the below listed steps to prepare your home made catfish peppersoup. 

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :
Cat fish
Fresh pepper
Onions
Ehu seed
Scent leaf or uziza leaf
Onga maggi cube
Cinnamon (optional )
Cameroon dry pepper
Uziza seed

BEFORE PREPARATION :
1.  Wash the catfish thoroughly with hot water to remove the slippery nature

2.  Pound or blend the fresh pepper and onions together and set it aside

3.  Wash and slice the uziza / scent leaf

4.  Use a frying pan and roast the ehu seed and pound it thoroughly

5.  Pound the uziza seed thoroughly and set it aside. 


PREPARATORY PROCESS :

Step 1 :
For a whole fish put half liter of water into a pot and set the pot on fire

Step 2 :
Add the already blended fresh pepper and onions into the boiling water

Step 3 :
Add the pounded ehu and uziza seed into the boiling water

Step 4 :
Cover the pot and alow it to boil for 5 minutes

Step 5 :
Add the thoroughly washed fish into the boiling spiced water and immediately add the cinnamon, 2 cubes of Onga maggi, a pinch of salt and a little of the Cameroon dry pepper and cover it, allowing it to boil for 15 minutes


Step 6 :
Add the sliced uziza leaf or scent leaf and cover it allowing it to boil for another 2 minutes and serve.
