How To Cook Okro Soup.

Okro soup is one of the quickest and easiest Nigerian cuisine to cook with the exceptions to the fact that a lot of people have challenges with the cutting of the okro and pumpkin/spinach leaf but all thanks to the invent of cutter and grater and this has made cutting less stressful.

This is what freshly prepared okro soup should look like.




 FRESH OKRO SEED.

   INGREDIENTS.


1.  Okro seed.
2.  Pumpkin or spinach leaf
3.  Palm oil (red)
4.  Shaki (cow tail)
5.  fish (dried, fresh, iced, stockfish,) choose either or at most two.
6.  crayfish
7.  Pepper (fresh or dried)
8.  Onions
9.  Maggi
10  A pinch of salt.

  PREPARATORY PROCESS
  Before you commence cooking do the following:

1.  Boil stock fish and meat together add pepper preferrebly dried pepper, onions
      and maggi 2 cubes and boil for about 30 minute depending on the quantity
     of meat your cooking. Bite to ensure its soft enough.

2.  Cut the okro into cubes or grate it in circles after washing it thoroughly

3.   Grind the crayfish and pepper together

4.  Wash and slice the pumpkin or spinach leaf in small slices.

     COOKING DIRECTION.

1.  After the meat and fish is ready, remove the iced fish from the meat and mash it
      Into the sliced fresh okro.

2.  Add half liter of hot water into the meat stock

3. Add 3 cooking spoon full of red oil (palm oil) into the the boiling meat stock and alow to boil for 5 minutes until the colour turns light yellow like look.

3.  Add your sliced okro alongside fresh pepper and  crayfish and pepper

4.  Add your tiny sliced pumpkin / spinach leaf and 2 cubes of knor alongside a pinch
      Of salt and cover for 3 minutes to simmer then stir and then your fresh okro soup
      Is ready to be served.
SOUP IS READY.


NOTE: Do not make the mistake of using all the types of fish listed above cause it's  entirely up to you hence the major ingredients required are just
*okro
*vegetable
*meat
*fish, iced or stock fish
*pepper
*crayfish
*maggi and a pinch of salt.

So don't close your bank account for a pot of soup but like I said earlier its entirely Up to you.

SERVE WITH: Garri (eba) or
                          Semolina or
                          Pounded yam or
                          Akpu (fufu) or
                          Alibo or
                          Amala or
                          Tuwo shinkafa.
