How To Prepare Nigerian Ofada Rice.
I know that most of you have in one way or the other heard about ofada rice. It's indigenous to Nigeria and best for dieters hence its carbohydrates contents is very low.
It's prepared just like any other rice, can be used for fried rice, jollof, coconut and white rice with sauce.
Shrimps
Vegetable oil or olive oil
Carrot
Green peaz
Green pepper
Onions
Chicken
Curry
Dried fish
Onga maggi cube
Cinnamon
Pinch of salt
PREPARATORY PROCESS :
Step 1 :
Perboil the rice and wash thoroughly with cold water to extract the starch and to reduce the very strong local aroma
Step 2 :
Put 2 cooking spoon full of vegetable oil into the dry pot and pour in the sliced onions, fresh tomatoes, fresh blended Peper and stir allowing the water in the tomatoes to dry
Step 3 :
Add hot water into the dry tomatoes and pour in your washed per boiled rice
Step 4 :
Add the chicken sauce, and all the sliced salad vegetables
Step 5 :
Add a pinch of salt and Onga maggi cube, stir and cover. Allowing the water to dry and the rice very soft before you serve.
Note :
You can prepare catfish peppersoup and use it to eat the white rice.
Serve with fried plantain or salad.
