How To Prepare Butter Beans.
This post will excite lovers of beans like myself. I have a very sensitive stomach and based on that, beans not properly cooked can upset my stomach and it will immediately start reacting.
Based on that premise, I spend nothing less than 2 hours plus cooking my normal beans hence I usually use a very low heat to enable it cook proper and not hastily.
I just discovered this new beans called " BUTTER BEANS " one amazing thing about this beans is the fact that it cooks in just 30minutes and has natural sweet taste of its own.
Butter beans
It can be cooked however you so please but here I cooked it plan and prepared red oil sauce with snail for it.
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :
2. Fresh pepper
3. Red oil
4. Dried fish
5. Maggi cubes
6. Onions
7. Snail
PREPARATORY PROCESS :
Step 1 :
Wash the beans with cold water and put it into a pot of boiling water and cover it putting the gas in medium heat.
Note :
Endeavour to see to it that the cooking water does not cover the surface of the beans while cooking it, so that it doesn't peel off the back of the beans when it will be cooked.
Step 2 :
Watch closely and be adding water gradually until it's thoroughly cooked in just about 30 minutes put it down.
Step 3 :
Blend the fresh pepper and onions together and set a dry pot on fire.
Step 4 :
Add red oil into the pot and pour in the blended fresh pepper and onions, add the dried fish and already cooked snail and stir.
Add a cube of maggi and you are good to set it down from the fire.
Step 5 :
Serve with diced fried plantain.

I guess you don't have to add anything to the beans while cooking aside from water ?
