How To Prepare Cocoyam Balls
If your a regular visitor of my page, you will agree with me that I love trying out something new using the very regular recipes.
Today I tried using cocoyam to make balls out of them and it came really delicious and succulent.
Note :
There are two types of cocoyam you must be aware of, the one meant for soup thickner which usually itch when eaten and often comes in smaller tuber and the one meant for eating which comes in a much
bigger size tuber.

In fact it will be safer if you simply inquire from the local market sellers which is which before purchasing, they will be in the best way position to better guide you while shopping.
For my Cocoyam yam balls recipes, I use the below ingredients:
1. Cocoyam
2. Vegetable oil
3. Flour
4. Egg
5. Sausage
6. Green pepper
7. Onions
8. Seasoning cube
9. Green peaz
10. Fresh tomatoes (optional )
11. Sweet corn.
12. Nutmeg ( optional )

PREPARATORY PROCESS :
Step 1 :
Wash, peel off the back of the Cocoyam, cut into cubes and set on fire
Step 2 :
Add black pepper, onions, pinch of salt and seasoning cube into the boiling cocoyam, cover and allow to cook till its soft and fork can easily penetrate.
Step 3 :
Take it down, drain the water and set it aside.
Step 4 :
Slice all the vegetables intending to use and add same into the already drained cocoyam and mash them together using a masher or mini pestle and set same aside after mashing.
Step 5 :
Whisk in two fresh egg into a deep bowl and set same aside
Step 6 :
Sieve into a deep bowl one cup of flour and mix same with half table spoon full of salt and set same aside.
Step 7 :
Roll out the mashed potatoes into ball shape, roll it over the whisked egg and the flour, roll over the egg again and set same apart.
Repeat same method for all the balls..
Step 8 :
Your cocoyam balls are ready to be eaten with any sauce of your choice.
