Chin-Chin

How To Prepare Chin-Chin

In the spirit of festivity, I have decided to spoil myself and my family with all kinds of delicacy that crosses my mind.  

Never mind,  by January we all can resume back to weight watch and portion control.  Christmas comes just ones in every 365 days.  So we've got to make the very best out of it.


Always bear in mind that you don't have to have the whole world before you can give yourself a great meal. All you need to know are
the ingredients required and afterwards, you simply buy the quantity you can afford.


For my simple home made chin-chin, which I made for my loved ones,  see below the required ingredients. 

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

1. 4 cups of all purpose flour
2. Half cup of sugar
3. 2 raw eggs
4. Half table spon of nutmeg
5. 125 gram of sugar
6. Pinch of salt (optional )
7. Half cup of milk.
8. I table spoon full of baking powder

PREPARATORY PROCESS :
Step 1 :
Sieve in your four cups of all purpose flour into a deep dry bowl 

Step 2 :
Add sugar into the flour and mix both thoroughly using your two bare hands. 

Step 3 :
Sieve the baking powder, nutmeg and salt into the flour and sugar mixture and mix thoroughly again.

Step 5 :
Whisk the egg thoroughly and add it into the dry mixture. 

Step 6 :
Using little warm water,  desolve the milk,  if your using powered milk like I did here and add into the dry ingredients.  Mix thoroughly to get a perfect batta.

N : B
Becareful when adding the liquid into the dry mixture in order not to make your batta too watery

Step 7 :
Allow the mixture to rest for about 10 minutes before using your rolling pin to roll it out before cutting into your desired shape.


Step 8 :
Put enough quantity of vegetable oil on fire and allow to heat up before you start frying. 

Step 9 :
Allow to fry golden brown and put inside a kitchen towel to extract any trace of oil. 

Your delicious chinchin is ready to be eaten with any cold drink of your choice.
